WELSHPOOL TOWN COUNCIL
THE TOWN CENTRE
The Town Centre Plan of the Town Council was adopted in 2008 and along with the Powys County Council Unitary Plan started to set the scene for the future of the Town Centre. Powys, the Town Council
and the developers worked together to gain the best result that could be achieved within the set parameters. The overall plan requests of the Town Council can be seen HERE.
The Town Hall has been refurbished in the Market Halls, the Market has started to return to the main street, the one way system has arrived and the new Tesco open. The four shops between Tesco and
the Town Centre have just started construction. At this date it appears Peacocks and Home Bargains are two of the occupiers.
To come is more shops, a Marstons, Travelodge, Bus Station and Car Park within the proposed way forward.
