NORTH WALES ASSOCIATION OF

TOWN AND LARGER COMMUNITY COUNCILS
 

 

MEMBERSHIP

 

Membership of the Association is open to all larger Town and Community Councils in Mid and North Wales.

 

Membership can be gained by application to the secretary of the Association at Triangle House, Union Street, Welshpool SY21 7PG.

 

Membership fees are minimal and are only to cover administration costs of the Association.  The Association does not have any paid staff and it is run by volunteers for the benefit of its members.

REPRESENTATION

 

The Association holds a quarterly meeting in January, April, July and October of each year.
 

There is an AGM held before the July meeting.

 

Other meetings are held as necessary.

 

The Association has contacts in both the WAG and WESTMINSTER to enable representation on a range of activities.

 

 

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

 

The Aims and objectives include:

 

A forum for larger councils to discuss common interests.

 

A forum to respond to consultations from all principle authorities as well as WAG and Nationally.

 

A forum to gain ideas from each other and to help each other in their activities.
