Remit
All matters relating to planning, development, highways, planning applications, notices, regeneration, Motte and Bailey and the Town Centre.
Authority
To deal with the above without further reference to the Full Council except where the scheme is of a larger or sensitive nature.

2. Minutes of the last meeting.
The minutes were accepted as a correct record.
3. Planning applications:
P2011 0571 New Street Welshpool
The replacement of a wall with close boarded fence, provision of a new vehicular access and car parking.
The Committee SUPPORTS this application.
The reason is that the proposal would tidy up an unsightly area of the
Town Centre.
P2011 0477 Welshpool Rugby Club Maes y Dre
Change of use from agricultural land to sports uses.
The Committee SUPPORTS this application.
P2011 0586 6 Berriew Street Welshpool
Conversion of a storage building to form an annexe for a dwelling, also
roof alterations.
The Committee SUPPORTS this application.
4. Other matters
Visit by Cllr W Jones
It was confirmed that Cllr W Jones would attend the next planning meeting. However the content of the response is not what the Committee was asking for. The agenda for the visit is to include expressing concerns as well as seeking a way forward.
WRAC shop unit Broad Street
Following consultation with Nick Smith at Powys County Council it was agreed that the Committee should write to both the owners and planning department supporting an application for change of use to A2.
5. Planning decisions
The Committee considered 4 planning decisions issued.
6. Planning appeal
The Committee considered the application of Garreg, Gunrgrog Hill and agreed that the original decision should be communicated to the appeal inspector.
7. Welshpool Pride Future Plan
The plan content was approved at the last meeting and any alterations have been included such as the timescales for consultation.
The Committee agreed that the plan should be titled:
‘Welshpool – going forward with pride’
